«Choi Jae Hyun Memorial Association» scholarship award ceremony was held at Al-Farabi  KazNU.

Seven students of the Department of Korean Studies, Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU received scholarships. This is a great material support and motivation for young people.

Choi Jae Hyun is a national hero who, at the beginning of the 20th century, participated in the anti-Japanese movement in the Russian Far East, the struggle for the independence of the Korean Peninsula. The presentation of the prize is designed to maintain students' interest in local history, national history, and fostering a patriotic spirit.

The scholarship is awarded annually. The project is financially supported by the Memorial Association named after Choi Jae Hyun.

Such events help strengthen the cooperation of the Department of the Far East with the Choi Jae HyunMemorial Association. It also contributes to the development of the Department of the Far East of Al-Farabi KazNU.
