Scientific seminar for 2nd year doctoral students in the specialties "8D05101 - Biology" and "8D05102 - Biomedicine"

On November 13, 2020, at the department of biophysics, biomedicine and neurosciences, a scientific seminar for 2nd year doctoral students was held. Candidate of biological sciences, senior lecturer of the department Dakhabaeva G.K. and 2nd year doctoral student A. Kudaibergenova made presentations on science news at the seminar. The following scientific news were heard during the seminar:

  • Protecting the brain from infection may start with a gut reaction;
  • International Journals (be careful)
  • Russian covid vaccine shows encouraging results

At the second part of the seminar, a 2nd-year doctoral student of the specialty "8D05102 – Biomedicine" Esenbekova A.E. made a report on the topic "Study of microRNA expression and the status of oxidative stress as a biomarker of cardiovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes". A report on the topic "The role of calcium-conducting cainate and AMPA receptors of inhibitory neurons in the control of excitation of the hippocampal neural network" was also listened to by a 2nd-year doctoral student of the specialty "8D05101-Biology" Kairat B.

Teachers of the Department asked additional questions and made a number of comments concerning the work of doctoral students.
