On the initiative of the National innovation research center" Bilim-órkenieti "the Republican contest"the Best student of the year" is held annually. The aim of the competition is to identify and support talented young people studying in the country's universities within the year of Youth. The competition Commission in determining the winner takes into account the achievements of the student in the fields of education, science, art and sports.

In the Republican contest "Best student of the year" the 3rd year student of the specialty "5B011300-Biology" Bakirova Akbota was highly appreciated by the jury and became the winner of the project. Akbota is one of the active students of our University, is the acting Deputy Chairman of the youth wing of Zhas Otan in Almaty.

In total, about 2 thousand applications were received for participation in the competition in the Republic, 98 best students were selected. The name of the winners of the project was included in the collection of talented students "Zhas Kyran", released in the framework of the project "Best student of the year" and the year of Youth with the support of the National innovation research center "Bilim-orkeniety". The collection presents information about the owners of "Altyn belgi" from among the students of domestic universities, winners of international, national and regional competitions, conferences, projects, competitions, leaders and activists of social youth movements, members of the national team of Kazakhstan, winners of competitions, international sports competitions.
