The Faculty of Journalism of KazNU and the Kazakh-Afghan Development and Partnership Association "AFG-QAZ" took part in the creation of the Center for Oriental Journalism “Orient”.

The AFG-QAZ Association is also among partners of the center. The activities of the Orient Center will cover the countries of the Near and Middle East, Central Asia, including Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

Currently, Afghan students continue to study at KazNU on scholarship through the State Educational Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The main goal of the Orient Center is to coordinate educational, cultural, educational, research and information-image activities for the preservation, formation and dissemination of knowledge and practical results in the field of journalism by conducting relevant research, organizational and other events.
