"Television and radio journalism in modernization public consciousness in Kazakhstan"

The aim of the conference is to train specialists in the field of media education, get acquainted with the methods of researching media communication, studying market of media industry products.


Within the framework of this conference a competition for students of the Journalism faculty is organized. The authors of the best student scientific and creative works will be awarded with special diplomas and gifts from beneficiaries.

The conference will be attended by leading television and radio journalists of Kazakhstan,

media researchers, representatives of Kazakhstani electronic Media, students and undergraduates, doctoral students of the Faculty of Journalism.

Information: Marat Karibayevich Barmankulov (1937-2000) - Dean of the Faculty journalism Al-Farabi KazNU was more than 35 years andwas the permanent Head of the Department of television and radio journalism. His first books were «Radio and TV Report» (1970) and «The whole world in your apartment» (1972), «Journalism for all» - books for students and journalists. Theorist and tv publicist, scientist, author of many books on journalism, turkology and cultural studies. Barmankulov readings are held since 2001 and have become a traditional event at the faculty.
