From December 5 to 19, the faculty of journalism held lectures by Professor V. Yanchuk (BSU, Minsk, Belarus) for undergraduates and doctoral students of the faculty. Topics were: Actual problems of research in the field of electronic media space, Methodological foundations and modern methods of research in social sciences, Definition and theoretical and empirical substantiation of the problematic research niche, Modern technologies of information retrieval and provision of publication standards in accordance with SCOPUS requirements, Promotion of publications in the English specialized scientific periodicals, Current trends in the functioning and development of electronic media, Methodology of scientific research in the field of psychology and social sciences, Social and psychological interdeterminants of the effectiveness of electronic media in the formation and management of public and individual opinion, etc.
As for teachers of the department, Vladimir Alexandrovich held a master class on the topic “Scopus Database. How not to get into the fake magazine,” where he gave detailed instructions on choosing magazines for publications.
