Week of celebrities

The beginning of December was marked for the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh National University as a landmark event.

More than 400 future journalists were involved in a week of master classes from veterans and specialists of the “QAZAQSTAN” TV channel.

Master classes from famous TV reporters who worked in different years on the TV channel "Qazaqstan" as Nurtoleu Imangaliev, Ashirbek Kopishev, Marat Tokashbayev, Toleubai Kaymoldinov, Fatima Begembaeva, Bayan Sultanova, Arthur Alipov, Mels Baysambaev, Gulmaria Barmanbekova, Maria Aimbetova, Yerlan Atambai, Kairat Musakulov, Meirzhan Zhienali, Marzhan Bolathankyzy, Gulnaz Alimgerey, Kymbat Doszhan, Almat Abraman made a significant contribution to media development.

Within the framework of the Week, the veterans of the national TV channel got acquainted with the exposition “Uly Dalanyn zhetі kyry” (Seven Facets of the Great Steppe) recently opened in the Al-Farabi scientific library.

Week of celebrities is another evidence of a long-term and lasting partnership of the university with the JSC RTRC (Republican TV and Radio Corporation) “Kazakhstan”.

If in 2016, the University celebrated the 95th anniversary of “Qazaq Radiosy” and the 50th anniversary of “Shalkar”, then on February 15, 2018, in the framework of the International scientific-practical Conference devoted to the 60th anniversary of “QAZAQSTAN” TV channel, was officially opened educational and creative laboratory № 208 “Qazaqstan” with modern equipment in the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. All workshops were held in this laboratory.

Veterans who worked at “Qazaqstan” TV channel in different years conducted master classes on the theme “The continuity of television generations: the past and the present television broadcasting”. Workshops such as “Preparing material for the air. Thematic selection" from Berik Yesenbay and Almat Abraman, "Innovations in the creative process" from Marzhan Bolathankyzy, "Skill of anchorman. Conducting news" from Gulnaz Alimgerey and Kymbat Doszhan," Culture of journalist speech " from Kairat Musakulov, "The role of the national channel in the information sphere. Methods of preparing news" from Yerlan Atambai, "Tips for TV presenter" from Meirzhan Zhienali were aimed at the development of practical knowledge and professional skills.

“I would not want such meetings to take place in the format of memories of the past time. I would like to talk about today, about what the young generation cares about, ”veteran journalist Gulmariya Barmanbekova shared her opinion. “To know life is the main requirement of journalism,” Toleubai Kaymoldin recommended in his turn. The workshops and the professional platform of the national channel will become a good tradition that students of the faculty of Journalism will look forward to.
