The traditional winter media school carried out its work online. Timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of "Qazaq Radiosy" and World Radio Day, the VIII Winter School of International Journalism and Communication on the theme "Accessible Radio to Every Resident and the Whole Population: Fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic" is an international event that united seven countries of the world.

Dean of the faculty S. Medeubek noted the activity of the 100-year-old radio on the transmission of operational information to the population. He congratulated on the radio day the chief director of «Kazakh Radiolary» Ernur Burakhan, who connected from Nur-Sultan, and the radio team, practitioners from the regions of the country, from Europe, USA, Russia, China, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, students and lecturers-scientists of the Faculty of Journalism.

             Klara Kabylgazina, professor of the Department of Printing and Electronic Media, took part in the "Sheshimi Bar" program for educating young people, organized by the "Almaty" channel, and spoke about the events held for young people at the National University. ... The publishing house "Kazakh University" has published materials of the international scientific and practical conference "Digital media and journalism: classic trends and new requirements of education", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the candidate of philological sciences, professor Klara Kabylgazina. (Almaty Kazakh University, 2020, p. 350). Scientific editor of the collection - Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor G.S. Sultanbaeva, Managing Editor - Phd Akynbekova A.B. The collection also contains an article by Gulnar Kendyrbai, a professor at Columbia University in the USA. Published articles by Professor of the University of Ankara Zakir Avshar, Professor of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of Uzbekistan Fatima Muminova, as well as scientists from the Kyrgyz University named after J. Balasagun.

Scientists of the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, together with foreign scientists, are doing a good job of developing scientific writing. This is evidenced by the article by the professor of St. Petersburg University Galina Melnik in the international university journal "Central Asian Journal of Social Science and Humanities" "Problems of broadcasting news programs." The authors of the article are Klara Kabylgazina, Associate Professor of the Press and Electronic Media Department, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Gulmira Sultanbaeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences Aitolkyn Ashimova and Candidate of Medical Sciences Altyn Akinbekova.

On February 11-13, 2021, the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will organize the VIII International Winter School of Journalism and Communication in the online format "Accessible Radio to every citizen and to all people: fighting the COVID-19 pandemic", dedicated to the World Radio Day and the 100th anniversary of "Qazaq Radiosy".

Since 2014, the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the support of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, has been holding the International Winter School of Journalism and Communication, which has become traditional and is dedicated to the World Radio Day.

At the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, an international scientific and practical online conference "CREATIVITY OF SAPAR BAYZHANOV - A NATIONAL PERSONALITY" was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the famous statesman and public figure, writer and publicist Sapar Bayzhanov.

A commemorative exhibition of the scolar's works was organized at the conference. The Union of Writers and Journalists of Kazakhstan, foreign scientists, heads of republican media and well-known journalists, public and state figures, representatives of the intelligentsia got in touch on the network and shared their memories of the life of Sapar Baizhanov. During the conference his social activities were especially noted along with the literary and spiritual heritage of the writer.
