February 14, 2020 at the Students House No. 14 of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, a Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Shin Saede student group organized a mini-cultural and educational literary event “Do you remember the days of your youth” in honor of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev.

Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, who were present at this event, expressed their opinion about the poem of our great ancestor "Do you remember the days of your youth?" Analyzing this poem, the youth was surprised to notice that they are now living exactly the kind of life that our great ancestor Abai described, “a serene life full of madness.”

The organizer of the evening is the head of the student group "Shin Saede" of the Department of the Far East Amirbekova U.A. spoke about the value for the youth of the heritage of Abay Kunanbayev, the relevance of the teachings of Abay, that only the deep knowledge gained during the student years will help spend the “years of love and toy” with meaning and benefit for the future. The event ended with a lively student discussion.
