The purpose of the visit of Mr. Barbashov S.S. there was an acquaintance of students with the conditions of paid and free internships with further selection and employment in their company, he showed the production line of the plant, the department of quality control, logistics and also revealed employment prospects in other countries.

International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN" ® (hereinafter referred to as the Championship) is an international system of competitions for solving engineering cases for schoolchildren, students and young specialists of the fuel and energy and mineral and raw materials complexes (hereinafter referred to as the fuel and energy complex and MSC), the nuclear industry and related industries.

The Department of "Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry" sincerely congratulates Musa Nursultan, a 4th-year student (supervisor Toshtay Kainaubek), on entering the European Master's program Bioref under the Erasmus program.

Sophomore master students of the specialty of 7M07106 – ‘Chemical Technology of Organic Substances’ Anel Nurzhanova and Akbota Berikova completed a scientific internship at the Research School of Chemical and Biomedical Technologies of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University’ from March 13 to March 24, 2023.

Bekissanova Zhanar Bolatovna, the lecturer at the Department of Physical Chemistry of Catalysis and Petrochemistry, holder of grant funding for research of young scientists under the Zhas Galym project for postdoctoral students, passed a foreign internship under the PROM program. The international scholarship exchange of doctoral students and lecturers at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has been completed. Research within the framework of the internship was carried out jointly with a foreign consultant Professor M. Sprynskyy from February 15 to March 14, 2023. As part of the internship, an oral report on the topic of a doctoral dissertation was presented. The visit strengthened scientific cooperation between Nikolay Copernicus University in Torun and Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi in Almaty.

On May 26, 2022, the official visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan took place. During the visit, the opening of a branch of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi in Kyrgyzstan took place. To develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of education and science, the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology organized and held the first international Olympiad "Physical Chemist-2023" on February 22-23, 2023. The subject Olympiad was devoted to the 90th anniversary of the honourable Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanov Khabibulla Kusainovich. The Olympiad was attended by students of chemical specialties of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev.

It was held in an online format, by two stages: the implementation of test and calculation tasks. Students of KazNU Zhaksybay Bagashar, Ergeshov Maksat were awarded diplomas of I, II degrees with material incentives of 100,000 and 75,000 tenge, respectively, the 3rd place was shared by a student of KazNU Mukanov Askar and a student of I. Arabaev KSU Tashmatova Ogulay (50,000 tenge each). Participants of the Olympiad received certificates. The sponsor of the Olympiad was Karlygash Kabidenovna Aldabergenova (Aubakirova), a graduate of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi, one of the students of H.K. Ospanova.
