On February 16, 2019 (Saturday) at 11.00 in the meeting room on the 1-st floor of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be held the eighth meeting of the scientific circle "Journal Club", where we learn to interpret the data based on reliable scientific results.

At the meeting of the Journal Club with a PhD- student of the scientific and pedagogical direction of the 1-st course Dzhumanov A.I. we will carry out a critical analysis of the scientific publication «Faecal immunochemical tests (FIT) versus colonoscopy for surveillance after screening and polypectomy: a diagnostic accuracy and cost-effectiveness study». Today, the incidence of cancer pathology is growing not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but throughout the world, which, primarily, is associated with an increase in life expectancy and the introduction of programs for the early detection of cancer. Mortality from malignant neoplasms ranks second in Kazakhstan, of which about 17 thousand people die every year.
