The Department of Biomedical Statistics and Evidence Medicine of the Medical Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Public Fund "International Medical Fund" Severance-KZ " organized a research internship from March 24 to April 2, 2018 for masters for the specialty "6M110200-Public Health". The research internship was devoted to the topic "Hospital Management".

The students of the Medical Faculty of the Department of Epidemiology and Hygiene of the specialty "Medical and Prophylactic Cases" have undergone a scientific internship in "Hospital Management" at the University of Gangam Severance Hospital, South Korea, Seoul on March 24, 2018-02.04.2018.      Clinic Severance is a partner of the medical faculty of al-Farabi KazNU, takes an active part in training personnel for the health of our country.                                          

The internship program was intended for undergraduates as a preparatory work for the completion of scientific research on the themes of master's theses. On the basis of practice, it was intended to familiarize with the object of the study and, possibly, the analytical conclusion, conclusions, recommendations on the topic of the dissertation.                                                                                                              

From March 20 to March 31, 2017, Masters of the 2nd course of the scientific and pedagogical master's degree in the specialty "Mediko-prophylactic case" Smagulova Gulshim, within the framework of the agreement between the KazNU. al-Farabi and Moscow State University (MSU) 

Department of Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine from March 13 to 23, 2018 organized for undergraduates of the specialty "Public Health" a scientific internship for students of the Medical Faculty, al-Farabi KazNU. The internship was held on the basis of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of M. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Under the program "Scientific Research in Medicine". In total, 11 undergraduates were trained.

The Department of Biomedical Statistics and Evidence Medicine in December from 6 to15, 2017 held a seminar on the theme "Scientific organization of the educational process" for researchers, faculty, young scientists, doctoral students, undergraduates, residents.

The department of biomedical statistics and evidence medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of KazNU al-Farabi held an autumn school for residents and doctors of clinical specialties on the theme "Methodology of scientific research in medicine and public health" on November 24-25, 2017. The program of the autumn school covered current issues of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice, the international standard of ethical norms and the quality of scientific research (GCP), the importance of statistics in medicine.
