Opening of the training and production department "Archive business and documentation"

In order to implement the main directions and tasks indicated in the “Archive-2025” program, published under the article “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” of N.A. Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on April 12, 2019 Department of History, Archeology and Ethnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University  held a solemn opening of the training and production department of “Archive business and Documentation” of the specialty “Archival studies, documentation and documentation provision” based on the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 The solemn opening ceremony of the department "Archival business and Documentation" was opened by AK Khikmetov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Kazakh National University and  Zh.Yu. Abdukadyrova, the Director of the President’s Archive of the RK. The event was attended by BA. Zhaparov, the General Director of the Institute of Information and Administrative Technologies, MS G. Nogaybaeva, Dean of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, G.S. Sultangaliyeva, Head of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, teachers of KazNPU named after Abay, teachers, students and master students of KazNU  as well.

For several years, the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a potential employer has been working closely with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the field of dual education, in conducting the Summer School for Young Archivists jointly, in organizing a city subject Olympiad, scientific and methodological seminars, production and research practice of students and master students. The opening of the department on the production basis will become an important educational and methodological center in the future, where students and master students will be able to develop theoretical knowledge in practice.
