Globalization within the framework of China’s project “One Belt One Road Initiative

On October 17, 2019, a round table was organized at the faculty of international relations, with the participation of the scientific student group “Shygys Zhuldyzy” to discuss the topic of “Globalization within the framework of China’s project “One Belt One Road Initiative”. The organizers are Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Balaubaeva B.M., Senior Lecturer Nuraliyeva S.A. and 2-year students of regional studies. It is considered that the New Silk Road concept aims to consolidate peripheral diplomacy and create various multilateral relations by pursuing a win-win strategy along the OBOR. The purpose of the round table is to deepen knowledge within the framework of this concept, to form skills of successful public speaking and to expose thoughts correctly. Students through analyzing the concept of “One Belt One Road” investigated the topic in two directions: west and east. Khasidanova Ayazhan investigated “Key aspects of Western globalization and the impact of the Chinese project “One belt one road”, Myrzauytbek Maral and Ukeeva Aizhan analyzed the “Economic aspect and its impact on the development of cooperation between China and Western Europe”, Dauletpakova Aruzhan, Kopbaeva Arai and Temirgali Zhadyra prepared a report "On new prospects for the joint implementation of the project “One belt one road” within Kazakhstan”.
The guest of the round table, Professor Nabizhan Mukhametkhanuly by analyzing the topic “Globalization within the framework of China’s project “One Belt One Road Initiative”, noted the high level of critical thinking of students. By indicating the high level preparation of reports, Nabizhan Mukhametkhanuly answered several questions. The round table was held at a high level, and the organizers Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Balaubaeva B.M., and Senior Lecturer Nuraliyeva S.A made closing remarks.
