International Scientific and Methodological Workshop as a bridge between different countries and cultures

On February 23, 2019, at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Diplomatic Translation held an international scientific-methodical seminar on the topic "Modern Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages ​​and Translation" was held with the participation of foreign professors from Canada, France and Switzerland. More than 80 foreign language teachers from universities and colleges of the Republic took part in the seminar. The working languages ​​of the seminar were English and French. An online seminar in two languages ​​was held by Professor A. Akkari of the University of Geneva. Lecturer Khalid Fates (France) organized a seminar for teachers of French on the topic: "Teaching French for Special Purposes". Professor of Lakehead University (Canada), Seth Agbo, held a seminar on "Modern Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages ​​in the 21st Century". The online conference with Professor A.Akkari of the University of Geneva was very interesting, gave an impetus to the discussions between professors, and the participants of the seminar actively asked questions. In general, the seminar was interesting and useful for everyone. Positive feedback and suggestions were received from the participants of the seminar.
