Today at the Faculty of International Relations Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the official opening of the photo exhibition “Everything about the East. Life in the GDR "(" Voll der Osten. Leben in der DDR Eine Fotoausstellung von Harald Hauswald mit Texten von Stefan Wolle "/“ Totally East. Life in East Germany ”).

The exhibition was organized by the Consulate General of Germany in Almaty with the assistance of the Center for German Studies KazNU.

Many guests gathered: they were representatives of foundations, academic institutions, German organizations, including the German economy in Kazakhstan. Students came, teachers and the press.

The exhibition was opened by the Consul General of Germany, Mr. Jorn Rosenberg.

The dean of the IRF ​​prof. AYDARBAYEV S.ZH .; Head of the Representative Office of “Commerzbank AG” in Kazakhstan and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Union of German Economy in the Republic of Kazakhstan VDW Marko GRAFF; Director of the Institute of International and Regional Cooperation at the Kazakh-German University, prof. SULTANOV B.K .; Director of the Center for German Studies, prof. GUBAIDULLINA M.Sh. made a speech. We welcome the participation of prof. Shakirov KN, the rector of the KNU O. MOSKOVICHENKO and many, many who are not indifferent to the development of ties with Germany.

They talked about the past and the present not only in Germany, but also in Kazakhstan, analyzed, compared, recalled events that have a lengthy connection between our peoples and countries.
