On March 31, Diplomatic translation department held a public lecture by well-known translator, economist. Graduate of Harvard University Shyngys Mukan on the topic of “Life mission – Road to Success”.

Virtual tour of the state historical, cultural, literary and memorial museum of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili”  within the framework of the project "Peculiarities of teaching national values in a foreign language". 

On February 24, 2023, a round table was held by first-year students on the topic "Society and its challenges", together with advisor Alipkyzy Ramina.  This event had an educational character, within the framework of which the actual problems of the Kazakhstani society, in particular the youth, were touched upon, as well as the discussion and their most rational solutions.  The round table was held for 1-4 year students of the Faculty of International Relations of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 

3rd year students of the educational program "International Law" became winners of the Annual Republican legal tournament organized by Suleyman Demirel University together with the law firm "Synergy Partners". 

Professor of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Head of the Department of Diplomatic Translation Seidikenova Almash Smailovna within the framework of the Erasmus program, gave a lecture on leadership to the teaching staff and undergraduates, doctoral students from France, Albania, Poland, Croatia on the topic "Language policy in the new Kazakhstan” at the University of Poitiers in France.

On Thursday, 16 February, the UN Office in Almaty hosted a roundtable discussion on "30 Years of UN Action in Kazakhstan: As seen through the eyes of Youth" in honour of the opening day of the first UN Office in Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Representative Office of the Department of Global Communications in Almaty and the Academic Regional Resource and Information Center about the UN, Faculty of International Relations, KazNU named after al-Farabi

On February 17, 2023 at 11:30 AM, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a public lecture by the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty Mario-Ingo Zoos on the topic "Kazakh-German relations at the present stage".

On Friday, February 10, at the Faculty of International Relations, the Academic Regional Resource Center on the UN at al-Farabi KazNU held an international Panel Discussion dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The international panel discussion covered the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) – 4, 5, 9, 10 and 17.

On February 7, 2023, the Department of Diplomatic Translation of the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a round table “Peculiarities of the presentation of national values in teaching foreign languages: Kazakh and foreign experience". 

  On Friday, January 27, at the Faculty of International Relations Academic Regional Resource and Information Center about the UN at the Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a Discussion Table dedicated to the International Day of Education.
