As part of the program Of the Fund "POSCO TJ Park Foundation" ten students of KazNU. al-Farabi was awarded "Scholarships to the best students in Asia". It is given annually to the best students of 12 universities in 10 Asian countries.

   The ceremony was held in the library named after al-Farabi with the participation of the first Vice-rector of KazNU Muhambetkali Burkitbayev and the Director General of the international Corporation POSCO, Almaty office of Mr. Jeong Jae Bong.

  In the new academic year, ten students of the faculties of journalism, law, international relations and the Higher school of Economics and business distinguished themselves with excellent academic performance.

  General Director of Almaty office Zhong Jae Bong presenting certificates to the winners noted that " the company intends to continue to support talented young people who strive to achieve great heights. Getting strong knowledge, they help not only themselves, but also the whole society."

  Speaking with a congratulatory speech, the first Vice-rector of KazNU Muhambetkali Burkitbayev also stressed that the University has been cooperating with 45 leading universities of South Korea for many years. Programs of academic mobility for students and teachers are being implemented, there is an active exchange of experience in scientific and educational activities, joint research is carried out within the framework of various projects. This year, twenty-two students from South Korea are studying in KazNU at the faculties of international relations, Oriental studies and pre-University faculty.

   This year, the best and most active students were chosen from all those studying at the Higher school of Economics and business: Seitova Hamida and Muratbekov Magzhan.

   In turn, on behalf of all students, the fellows thanked the representatives of POSCO for their financial support and stressed that Posco is one of the first industrial corporations that saw the incredible potential of the Asian region.
