Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and «Kazakh Radio»  LLP have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that determined the main areas of joint activity.

The event was attended by Rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov, the General Director of «Kazakh Radiolary» LLP Yernur Kosherkhan, the producer of «Kazakh Radiolary» LLP Mukhamedyar Rashai, the head of the «Qazaq Radiosy» Almaty studio Bakhyt Zhagiparovich Kutpanbev, the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Sagatbek Medeubek and others.

Welcoming the guests, Rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov emphasized the role of radio in the formation of national consciousness as a means of ethics in educating young people. Recommendations on the introduction of the subjects «The Art of Public Speaking» and «Expressive Speech» into the curriculum of social and humanitarian faculties were voiced.

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of «Qazaq Radiosy», KazNU's production studio discussed such fundamental initiatives as the opening of the «Qazaq Radiosy» center on the basis of the Department and the Faculty of Journalism, and the revitalization of the «Sana» student center. Today, students of the faculty are actively involved in the production of student radio programs, prepared for the release of projects such as «Ushkyn», «Zhastar Uny»,  «Qazaq Radiosy», «Shakgar», «Al-Farabi» and many others.

During the meeting, ways to update the content of student radio «Al-Farabi» were analyzed. The head of «Qazaq Radiosy», «Shakgar», Yernur Kosherhanuly, expressed his opinion on the use of audio materials in the Golden Fund during the training process. It was noted that the scientists of the Faculty are involved in scientific research of the basics of radio journalism, and advanced training courses for radio specialists are organized.
