For the third time, the department of UNESCO, international journalism and media in society holds a charity event “Let's help children together” as part of training and consulting activities to develop practical skills in students in the specialty “Public Relations”, as well as social norms of behavior.

Students of the 1st and 4th courses of the specialty “Public Relations” prepared a project for holding a publicly significant informational event in order to draw attention to the most acute social problems. And if for the first time students put the problem of children with special needs in front of society, then today the question of helping premature babies has become topical. November 17 is the International Day for Premature Babies, which was established in 2008. This is a day when you can publicly and widely declare an existing problem in society. In the world and in Kazakhstan, the number of premature babies is increasing every year. In addition to many environmental, medical reasons, experts believe that the factor of preterm birth is the young age of mothers and the ignorance of the elementary rules of behavior during pregnancy. Awareness of youth and students about this problem can prevent preterm birth.

The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the problems of preterm birth, premature babies and their families, as well as to provide charitable medical assistance to premature babies. The students planned and organized a press conference "Let's help children together," in which neonatologists and teachers from KazNMU participated. Asfendiyarov and the departments of UNESCO, international journalism and media in the society of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi (which is the Global Hub of the United Nations “Academic Interaction –YUNA” Initiative). At the press conference, it was noted especially about the need and importance of informing primarily young people about the risks to their health. Distribution of information leaflets and booklets prepared by the students themselves, lilac ribbons as a symbol of this Day, the launch of white balloons completed a charity event.
