The name of Zhumabek Kenzhalin, a well-known writer, expert journalist, and teacher of our University, who has been a long-time leader in the country’s foreign media, is widely known to future journalists. The meeting on the 85th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Faculty of Journalism was devoted to theme «Zhumabek Kenzhalin-Journalist. Scientist. Figure».

A delegation from Kazakhstan was welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Belgium, Aigul Sayfullaevna Kuspan at his residence, and our colleague Klara Kabylgazina gave a speech on the 175th anniversary of Abay. Our colleague’s speech was placed on the embassy’s website.

The 75th anniversary of Kozybayev Sagymbai Kabashuly was celebrated at the Faculty of Journalism. The event was attended by pupils, colleagues, famous journalists.

A round table “Egemen Qazaqstan - a hundred-year-old chronicle of the Kazakh”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republican newspaper “Egemen Qazaqstan” and the 85th anniversary of the faculty of journalism was held at the Al-Farabi KazNU. Before the event began, a tour of the university campus was organized for the delegation of the Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper, which started with a visit to the Al-Farabi Science Library. The library, decorated in oriental style, has more than 2 million resources and is a platform for new technologies and communication solutions.
