As part of the conference «The Role of Radio in the ХХІst Century: Global Perspectives, Sustainable Development, Access to Reliable Information, Influence on the Destiny of a Person» of the IX International Winter School of Journalism and Communication, organized in honor of the International Day of Radio by the Humanitarian Research Center "Mediasphere" of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi KazNU, the modern possibilities of global radio to provide information were discussed.

On December 9, 2021 of the current year in Al-Farabi library of Kazakh National University, in the hall of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the long-awaited presentation of a new dilogy - books of a famous Kazakh writer and film dramatist Nurlan Sanzhar: "Unexpected Guest - Jochi" and "Batu - Khan" took place. The presentation was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of N. S. Sanzhar, an honored figure of Kazakhstan, a candidate of philosophical sciences, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan, a film and TV editor, the author of a number of scripts of well-known and beloved films.

Department of Print and Electronic Media of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University "KAZAKHSTAN AIT!" The fourth traditional competition of future TV and radio announcers is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's independence and the 100th anniversary of Kazakh radio. The series of traditional master classes at the UNESCO Chair, International Journalism and Media in Society continued with a meeting between Gulmira Arbaeva, co-founder of the International Centre for Economic Literacy Foundation, media expert and PR consultant, and students, master's and doctoral students in international journalism and public relations.

On September 24, 2021, the Global Center for Risk Journalism (GRJH) held an online seminar with the students of the UNESCO Chairs, MJ and MO of KazNU named after al-Farabi. The speakers were BBC reporters, a CNN producer and a Pulitzer Prize Winner. They spoke on a variety of topics, reflecting on the global model of journalism to professional content creation, from journalistic ethics in times of crisis to visual storytelling in times of crisis.

Today at the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the framework of the VIII Bekhozhin readings was held a republican scientific-practical online conference "PROSPECTS OF THE PRESS: FORECASTS AND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS."

There is a special event in which journalism turns from a childhood dream into a professional goal and which young people are eagerly awaiting. Every year, on the last days of April, an event has been held that unites young journalists and allows them to evaluate their creative potential. This is the Forum of Young Journalists of the Faculty of Journalism.
