The master class of the chief editor of the publishing house "Atamura" Raibayeva Rayhan for students of the specialty "Publishing" was held on 10.16.2018 at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Journalism, Department of Publishing, Editing and Design Art.

On October 3, 2018 at the faculty of journalism was held a joint seminar of employers with the staff of the faculty.

In 2015, the President of Kazakhstan, speaking in the general debates of the UN General Assembly, proposed to create a world currency. Today's master class also took place on this subject. Giving a general overview on crypto-currency and Blockchain, students talked about advantages of a new innovation tecknology, to increase the financial literacy of the younger generation.

"One hundred books that every student of the Kazakh National University should read." This project was proposed by the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi specifically for youth and society. There was a curatorial hour on the project “Rouhani zhangyru” with the participation of third-year students of the Faculty of Journalism, UNESCO, international journalism and media in society. Musayeva Bayan Askarovna - curator-adviser of the group, began with a brief overview of the work of M. Auezov, referring to the importance of “Ruhani zhangyru” for the modern generation.

On September 8, 2018 within the actions dated for the City Day of Almaty on the Old Square (nowadays «Square Astana») the book festival «Kіtap Fest» was held. The first such book holiday has taken place in 2014 and has attracted huge interest and desire of continuation from the reading community. This year there has taken place the fifth book festival which already became intellectual tradition for inhabitants and city visitors.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the faculty of journalism, was held Knowledge Day for the 1st year students of the specialty "Public Relations in 3 of September 2018, in the audience named after Kozhakeyev. Future young specialists attended this lecture. 

The result of the event was the adoption of a final document - a resolution containing recommendations on the implementation of 17 Sustainable Development Goals to be sent to UN headquarters, as well as student initiatives in support of Kazakhstan's candidacy for the non-permanent seat of the UN Security Council.

Schoolchildren from all cities of the republic worked in front of the camera, tried to read the text with the help of a prompter. After visiting the studio named after Professor M. Barmankulov, they found out the future prospects and felt as the students of the Faculty of Journalism.

Slamers of the first battle at the journalism faculty at the moment have remained within the framework of the traditional presentation of information. But their performances showed braveness of scientific thought, readiness to experiment and the passion to share knowledge.

21.04.2018. Nauryz celebration was held in KazNU, where the students of the specialty "Design" presented the latest national costumes. Rector Mutanov thanked the students for their enthusiasm and said that the design will continue to support the creation of a studio.
