The open event on "Peace, Stability and the Dutch involvement in the War in Afghanistan”

Institute for Security and Cooperation Studies invites everyone to an open event (lecture + viewing of a documentary film + discussion) on "Peace, Stability and the Dutch involvement in the War in Afghanistan” to be held on February 5, 2018.

Lecture will be presented by Niels Terpstra, a PhD researcher at the Centre for Conflict Studies at the Utrecht University. He will talk on his former and current research projects on rebel governance, the Dutch involvement of training and stabilization missions to Afghanistan, as well as the Dutch politics behind the ending of the latest Dutch police training mission to Kunduz. After the lecture, there will be room to discuss major questions on the political state of affairs in Afghanistan, its impact on regional security as well as the future of foreign interventions on peace and state building.

Moderator of the event Olivier Korthals Altes is an Erasmus Mundus MSc student Conflict & Security from his home institution Radboud University at Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
