Student research club "Mediator" of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the association created by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminology at the initiative of students and lecturers of the faculty.
The main purpose of the club is to carry out the research work in the field of mediation of disputes, creating favorable conditions for the participation of students and undergraduates of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi KazNU in the research activities in the field of mediation dispute resolutions.
The main objectives of the club are:
Ø a comprehensive study of social relations established in the field of organizations and the use of mediation as an independent method of settling legal disputes, as well as its integration into the activities of law enforcement agencies;
Ø study of the regularity of the development of mediation in foreign countries and the Republic of Kazakhstan, existing in science theoretical ideas about mediation, established in the doctrine and legislation approaches to the integration of mediation in law enforcement;
Ø organization of mediation for settlement of disputes and conflict situations;
Ø provision of practical assistance to mediators, organizations engaged in activities to ensure the conduct of the mediation procedure for legal entities and individuals participating in the mediation procedure;
Ø Dissemination of best national and foreign practices of mediation dispute resolution;
Ø Interaction with student scientific circles of other higher educational institutions.
