On November 5, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Al-Farabi Olympic Training Center organized the VIII International Iranian Geometry Olympiad among students of grades 7-12. This year 551 students applied for the Olympiad. The Olympiad started simultaneously in Nursultan, Aktau, Aktobe, Pavlodar and Almaty.The Olympiad is held at 3 levels (leagues):
level1: students of grades 7-8;
Level 2: students of grades 9-10;
Level 3: students of grades 11-12.
The Iranian Olympiad has been held since 2014 and has been international since 2015. The holding of the Olympiad in Kazakhstan has been coordinated with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn". Despite the global epidemiological situation, 48 countries participated in the Iranian Olympiad last year.Good luck to all participants!
