A competition was also held to fill vacant positions of heads of departments. The University's competition commission considered candidates on the basis of the" Rules for competitive replacement of positions of teaching staff and researchers " approved by the Board of Directors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on June 16, 2021. The applicants who passed the competitive selection were accepted for the position of "heads of departments":
