Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov introduced the new head of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Zhanseit Tuimebayev.

Speaking to the staff of the university, the Minister informed that on a competitive basis, the Republican Commission recommended to appoint Zhanseit Kanseituly Tuimebayev to the post of Chairman of the Board–Rector of the NJSC "Al-Farabi KazNU".

Introducing the team with the new rector, the Minister noted that the Zhanseit Tuimebayev, doctor of Philology, Professor, is a graduate of the University, has extensive experience of leading, he worked as the Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan, the foreign service, the Governor of the region, in recent years it has been the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, head of the Secretariat of the ANC of the presidential Administration.

Askhat Aimagambetov wished the new rector success in his work and expressed confidence that under his leadership the university will continue to develop dynamically and increase its competitiveness in the global scientific and educational space.

In turn, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that it is a great honor for him to lead the country's leading university, it is a great trust and responsibility. The priority areas of work will be improving the quality of education and teachers ' salaries, developing infrastructure and creating favorable conditions for students, and expanding international cooperation. He also stressed that an important task is the development of research activities, the introduction of scientific developments in real production.
