The team of the Department of Mechanics participated in the Silk Road Robotics Competition in Xi'an, China

  The KazNU team participated in the 2019 Silk Road Robotics Innovation Competition (SRRIC) of Xi'an, China and was awarded the Competition Diploma.

  For this competition, the team of KazNU, under the leadership of Professor J. Baigunchchekova, presented the project "Robot Humanoid Ai-Gerim".

  Developed by teachers (B. Amanov and B. Sagitzhanov) and students (Azil Zamanbek and Rakhymzhan Zangar) of the Department of Mechanics, the Humanoid Robot is social, performs a number of functions that help people with physical disabilities in their employment. Features of the “Ai-Gerim” robot are simplicity of design, low cost and controllability at a distance with a human operator with limited physical abilities using Wi-Fi connection.

  It should be noted that from September 17 to 20, 2019, the University of Silk Road Events 2019 took place in Xi'an, China: Forum of Presidents of the Silk Road University Alliance 2019 (UASR 2019) and the Silk Robotics Innovation Competition Routes 2019 (SRRIC).

  At the Forum of Presidents of the Silk Road Universities Alliance 2019 (UASR 2019), our university was represented by the Director of the Digital Technologies and Robotics REC, Professor of the Department of Mechanics, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Baygunchekov.

  The Forum hosted the 2019 Silk Road Robotics Innovation Competition (SRRIC), which presented 29 projects from 8 countries, including our Robot Humanoid Ai-Gerim project.
