Master students of the 2nd year of study at the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zarin Turtayev, Elaman Maksum and Didar Bergentayev won a scholarship to the Abai-Vern program.

On April 19, 2018, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France signed the Agreement on the implementation of the Abai-Vern stepindial program.

The program provides scholarships for annual studies in France in French or in English: at the master's level of the 2nd year and under the doctoral program in the co-leadership.

The winners will receive a monthly stipend of 800 euros, as well as free tuition for 10 months (from September 2018 to June 2019).

They are exempt from paying registration fees at state higher education institutions, a free long-term student visa and priority in the allocation of places in student dormitories.

The award ceremony took place on July 9, 2018 at the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute in the presence of the French Ambassador to Kazakhstan, the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
