The teaching staff of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of history, the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and museology and students of the 3rd year organized a meeting with students of grades 10-11 of Abay secondary school, Abay village, where comprehensive information on the specialties of the faculty was given. As part of the scientific orientation work, students of the school got acquainted with the activities of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and museology related to education and science, field archaeological and ethnographic expeditions, and the life of students.

From 04 to 06.11.2021, the head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology Zhumataev R. S. and Professor of the department Kartaeva T. E. met with the best students of the Republican Olympiad of schoolchildren "Daryn" in the areas of "history", "ethnoculture", gave comprehensive information about the specialties of the department, familiarized with information about famous scientists of the department and the department as a whole.

On November 2, 2021, a meeting was held with the poet, writer, deputy chairman of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan, winner of the International Literary Award "Alash" Bakhyt Bedelkhan in the House of students No. 10 of the Faculty of history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by teachers of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and museology, candidate of historical sciences, professor T. E. Kartaeva, Senior Teachers B. B. Besetayev, A. E. Ergabylov and students of the 1st-4th year of the Faculty of history. During the meeting, the poet told about his childhood and Student Life, told the youth of modern society about adaptation to the Times of globalization, competitive education in accordance with modern requirements. The second part of the event was held in the format of an exchange of views, questions and answers, and at the end of the meeting, the poet read his poems and got acquainted with the works of students.

Under the guidance of Professor of the Department of archeology, Ethnology and museology Eleuov M., According to the project No. AP09260898 "medieval Kishkala (Barshynkent): in the context of urban culture in the era of the Golden Horde", archaeological excavations were carried out in 4 places in the medieval Kishkala in 2021. These are: excavation 1, excavation 8, excavation 9, excavation 10. as a result of the conducted research, it was determined that excavation 1 was a magnificent mausoleum of the Golden Horde era. Excavation 8 it turned out that its shape and structure were built in the same way as the Syrlytam mausoleum in this region, and even the impurities contained in the ceramic bricks were the same. On excavation 9, a stratigraphic cut was laid, as a result of which traces of the construction of a residential complex were found here. In excavation 10 and excavation 8, a stratigraphic incision was made to determine what the adjacent trench is. As a result, it was convinced that it was a fortress from the time of the Golden Horde.

According to the scientific project "AP08856696 - ethnographic and geoarchaeological study of agricultural and livestock landscapes of the desert Atyrau of Kazakhstan: historical causes of development and abandonment", a comprehensive ethnographic and geoarcheological study was conducted in 2021 in the following areas: the Valley Of The Shu River, Moyinkum Sands, settlements, settlements of Akkainar, Matybulak, Borisholak, Kapshagai, desert, semi-desert regions of the Ili. In the settlements of akkainar, Matybulak, Borisholak, indigenous settlements, indigenous livestock villages, ancient cattle villages, the impact of drought, the management of livestock, and the use of natural water sources were studied.

In the field season of 2021, under the leadership of Omarov Gani Kalikhanovich, under the project AP09261115 "Archaeological monuments of the Ayagoz district of East Kazakhstan region: interdisciplinary research", research work was carried out in the Ayagoz district of East Kazakhstan region. Systematic archaeological work in this region was carried out for the first time. In total, more than 50 burial grounds of different times and 3 rock art complexes were discovered.

On May 22, 2021, the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology and Museology together with the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve-Museum "Tanbaly" organized a field seminar within the framework of the international scientific and methodological conference "XIII Orazbaevskie Readings". Professor Tattigul Yersayynovna presented the branch of the department with ethnographic wall drawings created at the museum. During the seminar, the events planned by the museum were discussed, as well as the ongoing work was analyzed. A tour of all the groups of petroglyphs "Tanbaly"was held.
