Professor of the Department of archeology, Ethnology and museology, candidate of Historical Sciences, head of the research center "museology and monuments" Kartayeva Tattigul Yersainovna published a monograph "Baritanym: Expeditionary research".
The work presents the system of folk knowledge in the traditional worldview of the Kazakh people associated with the "BURI", that is, the Wolf Totem. The main mass of materials was collected during ethnoarchaeological expeditions. The meaning of the image of a wolf on a rock in the Kazakh land is analyzed. Ancient hunting methods of wolf hunting, types of traps, tanning and use of wolf skin are given. The Kazakh people have mastered the folk knowledge of the use of Wolf body parts in ethnomedicine. In order to protect animals from the Wolf, rituals are still practiced today. The Legend of Bor as the owner of batyrs and shamans is also included.

Under the guidance of Professor of the Department of archeology, Ethnology and museology Eleuov M., According to the project No. AP09260898 "medieval Kishkala (Barshynkent): in the context of urban culture in the era of the Golden Horde", archaeological excavations were carried out in 4 places in the medieval Kishkala in 2021. These are: excavation 1, excavation 8, excavation 9, excavation 10. as a result of the conducted research, it was determined that excavation 1 was a magnificent mausoleum of the Golden Horde era. Excavation 8 it turned out that its shape and structure were built in the same way as the Syrlytam mausoleum in this region, and even the impurities contained in the ceramic bricks were the same. On excavation 9, a stratigraphic cut was laid, as a result of which traces of the construction of a residential complex were found here. In excavation 10 and excavation 8, a stratigraphic incision was made to determine what the adjacent trench is. As a result, it was convinced that it was a fortress from the time of the Golden Horde.

The exhibition "gold of the Great Steppe" was opened in the Fitzwilliam Museum of the University of Cambridge. The event was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.
Gold artifacts of the ancient saka mounds of the East Kazakhstan region, found as a result of excavations by famous archaeologists, professors of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Abdesh Tuleubayev and Zainolla Samashev, were exhibited. The British public had the opportunity to see the relics of the Scythian civilization, which dominated Central Asia in the VIII-III centuries BC, in particular, the Altai Mountain system of Kazakhstan, and valuable objects found in the Saka mounds. The exhibition presents about a hundred archaeological finds from three different burial grounds: Berel, Shilikty and Eleke Sazy. The exhibition shows that the ancient Saks had a unique culture and deep knowledge in the field of nomadic animal husbandry, mining and Metallurgy. This period is also called the "golden age" in the history of ancient Kazakhs. One of the most valuable exhibits is the remains of the "golden man", whose clothes contain 15,000 gold items. "This is a unique opportunity for the UK and, of course, for the whole world to show the ancient culture of Kazakhstan. The exhibition will be held in the Fitzwilliam Museum until January 30 next year.

Professor Tattigul Yersayynovna presented the branch of the department with ethnographic wall drawings created at the museum.
