On August 18, a meeting was held with akim of Zhambyl region Nurzhan Moldiyarovich Nurzhigitov in the medieval city of Aktobe (Balasagun) - the archaeological base of aqaznu.
During the meeting, the University made proposals on the following issues:
1. the issue of road construction in Aktobe (Balasagun);
2. transformation of Aktobe (Balasagun) into a tourist complex;
3.issues on the development of a common educational and practical base between universities in Aktobe (Balasagun) were discussed.

On April 20, 2022, the Institute of Archaeology named after A. H. Margulan of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Faculty of history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Issyk" held an international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Akynzhanov readings-2022".
The conference of students and young scientists" akynzhanov readings " has been held on a regular basis since 1993. The scientific path of a number of Russian scientists began at this conference, and many of them connected their work with the science of Archaeology.
It is expected that the scope of the conference participants will expand, as well as interaction with educational institutions and research centers in all regions of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries will increase.

On April 18, 2022, in the Archaeological Park" Boraldai saka mounds", located in the shanyrak-1 microdistrict, a historical and educational and cultural event" Boraldai – gasyrs kuasy "was held, dedicated to the International Day for the protection of historical monuments and historical places.
This event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the Faculty of history.
The main purpose of the planned festive event was to draw public attention to the preservation of monuments of centuries-old history and the protection of cultural heritage.
During the event, the guests received detailed information about the monuments in the territory of Almaty, took part in a festive concert program, an interesting quiz.
A. H. Margulan readings 2022

On April 12, 2022, the Institute of Archaeology named after A. H. Margulan of the Science Committee of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Faculty of history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized the next international scientific and practical conference "Margulan readings-2022", dedicated to the day of Science Workers of Kazakhstan.
The conference discussed the results of archaeological work carried out in 2021 on the territory of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.
Today, within the framework of the program" Margulan readings-2022", a plenary session was held.
Leadership Lecture on " shilikty Altyn Adam and some problems of Saka-Scythian archaeology”

Professor, Doctor of historical sciences, famous archaeologist Toleubayev Abdesh Tashkenovich held a leadership lecture on the topic: “Shilikty Altyn Adam and some problems of Saka-Scythian archaeology”.
At the end of the lecture, Abdesh Tashkenovich presented the students with gifts for their active participation.

3/16/2022On March 14, within the framework of the club of museologists, an evening of meetings of students of 1-2 courses of the Faculty of history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with Kalysh Amanzhol Boranbayuly was held. During the meeting, Doctor of historical sciences, ethnographer, professor Kalysh Amanzhol Boranbayuly, who has made a significant contribution to the development of National Historical science, shared his experience in the field of ethnological research with students.
