The Ethnologue club organized a round table on the topic of educating the youth of a sovereign state in the spirit of patriotism «Салтың-санаң, дәстүрің-дәулетің, ғұрпың-ғұмырың».

On November 8, an arm wrestling tournament was held among students of higher educational institutions in which a 2nd year student of the specialty “Archeology and Ethnology” Maratov Rustam took 1st place.

A meeting was held with professors and teachers of the department of archeology, ethnology and museology on the topic “My specialty is my pride!”, In order to stimulate students' interest in their specialty, to demonstrate the potential of the profession and achievements in science. Head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology G.K. Omarov, Professor A.T. Tuleubaev, M.E. Eleuov showed students' interest in certain areas of science. At the end of the meeting, a concert program was organized, teachers donated books.

On November 1, 2019, the Zhalyn competition was held in several categories at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In the category of “Modern Dances” the 1st place was taken by the participants of the Faculty of History, among whom the 2nd year student of the specialty “Archeology and Ethnology” Dauletzhanova Arailym excelled.

On November 1-3, the Department of History, Archeology and Ethnology together with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” held a republican intellectual contest “My Little Homeland” among schoolchildren. Schoolchildren from all regions of Kazakhstan participated in the competition.

On November 1, the grand opening of the competition was held, and an excursion for schoolchildren on the al-Farabi KazNU campus. Participants also had the opportunity to participate and appreciate the talents of KazNU students at the Zhalyn festival.

The next day, the participants competed in four categories in which they defended the presentations, wrote essays on the topics: history, symbols, the future of my small homeland. The preparation of the participants was at a high level. The design of the models and the imagination of the participants in the section “The Future of My Little Motherland” surprised everyone very much.

On November 3, the solemn closing and awarding of participants took place.

The club of ethnologists conducts a meeting with the editor-in-chief of methodical magazine "History of Kazakhstan" and magazine of "The bringing up of chuild" Tamara Оrazkhanovna Azimkhanova on a theme "Folk pedagogics is a mean of a bringing up education" with the purpose of bringing up of young people of nation-state in a spirit of patriotism. The meeting was attended by a member of the board of the methodological journal "History of Kazakhstan", Ph.D., associate professor K.K. Kunapina, Ph.D., senior lecturer E.M. Turgymbaev. At the meeting, traditions, rituals and customs related to raising children in folk pedagogy were discussed.
