29.03.2019 on the basis of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University was held XI Rebublican subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in group of specialties «5В060400 – Physics», «5В060500 – Nuclear physics», «5В061100 – Physics and Astronomy», «5В071900 – Radio engineering, electronics and telecommunications», «5В071000 – Material science and technology of new materials».

15 Universities from all regions of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad. Its: ENU named after L.N. Gumilev (Nur-Sultan), KazATU named after S. Seifullin (Nur-Sultan), TarIGU (Taraz), IKTU named after H.A. Yassawi (Turkestan), ARSU named after K. Zhubanov (Aktobe), KSU named after B. Buketov (Karagandy), SKSU named after M. Auezov (Shymkent), Miras University (Shymkent), WKSU (Uralsk), KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev (Almaty), IITU (Almaty), AUPET (Almaty) and KazNU named after al-Farabi (Almaty).  

During the Olympics, the participants showed high training, diligence and desire to become the best in their specialties. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University expresses gratitude to the leadership of universities and participants of the Olympiad for their interest and participation. Also, special thanks to Huawei and the project Manager of the Academy HAINA Albina Smagulova for the sponsorship of young talented students.

In total, according to the results of the Republican Olympiad, 31 winners in five specialties were determined. All participants of the Olympiad were awarded diplomas and certificates.

According to the teams, the places were distributed as follows: 1st place - S. Seifullin Kazat, 2nd place - L. N. ENU. Gumileva, IITU, 3rd place - AUPET, KRMU, Miras.
