On October 13, 2017 on the basis of the Meteorology and Hydrology department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Opening of the distance learning system center (DLS) for national hydrometeorological services of Central Asia (NGMS TsA) took place (grant of the World Bank). In the opening ceremony of the distance learning system center (DLS) the graduate of the Meteorology department, the vice-rector of "Institute of professional development of executives and experts" of Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Russian Federation Chichasov Grigory Nikolaevich delivered a lecture.
