On April 28, 2017, the International Scientific and Practical Conference (IX Bagizbaeva Readings) "Actual Problems of Modern Philology: Theoretical Problems and Applied Aspects" dedicated to the 85th birthday of Academician Bagizbaeva Mai Mikhailovna was organized by department.  

   

 

 

February 22, 2017, at the Faculty of Philology and World Languages, the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature organized the Republican Scientific and Methodological Seminar "The Russian Language and Literature in the Modern Educational Space: Theory, Practice, Methodology."

The purpose of the center:
- The study of creativity of the XX-XXI centuries, Kazakh and Russian writers in the context of Russian-Turkish relationships.
Centre Objectives:
- The determination   of Turko-Slavic parallels in the languages ​​and cultures;
- Scientific interpretation of the origin of the ancient Turkic languages ​​and scripts;
- Study of problems of Turkic and Slavic Studies, creation of database research on Turkic and Slavonic studies;
- Study of scientific contribution made by Olzhas Suleimenov in Turkic and Slavic studies;
- Participation in scientific competitions in order to obtain grants for fundamental and applied research in the country and abroad;
- organization of conferences and symposia, exhibitions, thematic meetings;
- the organization of publishing activities.
