IV Summer School of Young Archivists of the CIS Countries

The Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with the Russian State University for the Humanities, annually hold a Summer School for young archivists from the CIS countries. The traditional summer school for young archivists from the CIS countries will be held for the first time via videoconference from June 21 to 23, 2021.

More than 250 people from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan will take part in the forum of young archivists. Lecturers at the Summer School will be leading specialists and practitioners of archival affairs from Belarus, Korea, Poland, Russia, Finland and Kazakhstan.

Particular attention is paid to the digitalization of archives, the problems of preservation of electronic records, the introduction and use of modern information technologies in the daily activities of archives, the issues of digital diplomacy in solving the problem of an electronic records, the digitization of the originals of archival documents, as well as modern trends in the regulation of electronic records management abroad.

The Summer School is an educational platform of a new format for the acquisition of high-quality knowledge by specialists from the archives of the CIS countries. Digitalization and modernization should not bypass archives. After graduation from the summer school of young archivists, all participants will be issued with personalized certificates.
