Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages and Abai Institute of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University invites to take part in the International scientific and practical conference, devoted to 175 anniversary of classic of Kazakh and world literature Abai Kunanbaev entitled «Spiritual Heritage of Abai and Al-Farabi: Place and Significance in World Civilization», which takes place on April, 17, 2020.

Leading abaiologists, writers, scientific employees and teachers, young scientists of high schools and scientific-research institutes are invited to participate in the Conference.

The Conference includes three sections:

1. Al-Farabi – Abai consonance of knowledge: in the space of world literature;

2. The artistic-aesthetic world of Abai's poetry;

3. The doctrine of Abai is the main lever of spiritual rebirth.

Within the framework of the Conference, an International meeting of University Rectors will be held with a view of creating a «Eurasian network of universities in support of a culture of knowledge without borders».

Materials for publication are accepted in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

Requirements for the presentation of the report:

The volume of reports should not exceed 5 pages; line spacing – 1 (single); the text should be typed in Word format; Tіmes New Roman, size 14; fields: upper – 2 cm, lower – 2 cm, right - 2 cm, left – 2 cm. In the right upper part of the paper there should be printed the author’s surname and initials, work place, academic degree and title. In the middle of the paper - the name of the abstract or report. Footnotes are given at the end of the text in the order in which they are cited. Reports should be submitted in electronic version with the application of one copy of the printed text. Following the results of the Conference a collection of materials will be published.

All expenses related to the arrival and stay in Almaty are to be covered at the expense of the participants.
