Within the framework of the program «Iinvitation of foreign scientists and specialists» of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan», a professor of the University of Western Scotland, Mojtaba Mirzaeian, visited our University to give lectures and conduct joint scientific research.

Professor Mojaba Mirzayan is a scientist in the field of chemical technology and chemical engineering, his research interests include surface phenomena, nanoporous carbon materials for energy storage, materials for hydrogen storage, the development of electrochemical energy-saving technologies (in particular, superconducting and LiO2 batteries). He is the author of more than 120 scientific papers, including articles with a high impact factor, (h-index: 14).

Mojaba Mirzayan is the foreign supervisor of the PhD doctoral dissertation of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Physics and Technology Faculty.

During his stay in Al-Farabi KazNU, Professor Mirzayan plans to discuss joint publications and work on research projects and teaching materials.

Pedagogical activity of Professor M. Mirzayan at Al-Farabi KazNU, scheduled for the period from December 4 to December 31, 2019, consists of lecturing and conducting seminars on the topic «Design and analysis of industrial separation processes» and a series of consultative lectures on writing and sending articles to journals with a high impact factor for undergraduates and PhD doctoral students.
