Students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Mathematical and computer modeling department not only study hard, but also actively participate in the public life of the university. For example, last Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 1st year student of the MKM, Bakhytbekova Bekzat, took part in the contest “Kuzgy Gazhayyp” organized by the student council of the faculty under the guidance of the student dean of the 3rd year student of mathematical and computer modeling Kylyshbay Alua.

Implementation of the research and innovation project "Al-Farabi university smart city"

В рамках государственной программы «Цифровой Казахстан», Казахский национальный университет им. аль-Фараби посетил заместитель Премьер-Министра РК Аскар Жумагалиев, с целью ознакомления с осуществляемым научно-инновационным проектом "Al-Farabi university smart city" и внедренными цифровыми технологиями в вузе.
Центр ситуационного управления (ЦСУ) стал отправной точкой Аскара Жумагалиева. Ректор КазНУ Галым Мутанов, ознакомил заместителя премьер-министра с моделью цифрового университета и кампуса, с национальной платформой МООК, информационно-аналитической системой университета на базе программы Power BI.
Как подчеркнул ректор КазНУ Галым Мутанов, в университете определены ключевые направления развития IТ-технологий – это внедрение: облачных технологий в автоматизации деятельности вуза; smart-технологий в управлении инфраструктурой кампуса; технологии Big Data для формирования аналитической системы; развитие аутсорсинга IТ-услуг. С начала года в КазНУ открыт новый факультет IT, где концентрируется подготовка специалистов для сферы высоких технологий.
В ходе посещения факультета информационных технологий, заместитель премьер-министра ознакомился с его деятельностью по научному направлению, а также посетил лабораторию Касперского, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, «Konika Minolta», «Fujitsu», «Huawei», «Samsung», СБИ «Алгоритм» и Центр Samsung, который функционирует в ВУЗе с 2015 года.
Во время встречи была отмечено, что компания «Майкрософт» высоко оценила работу университета в развитии и широком внедрении современных IT-технологий. И сегодня, «Майкрософт» являясь стратегическим партнером КазНУ, внедряет в университете облачную службу бизнес-аналитики «Microsoft Power BI».

November 2, 2018 at the Faculty of the Faculty of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi successfully passed the theses for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) of the senior teachers of the department MKM Kudaibergenov Askar at 14:00  and Kudaibergenov Askat at 16:00 hour.

Talent contest among freshmen KazNU-2018

November 1, 2018, in the Palace of Students. Zholdasbekova passed the annual talent competition among first-year students - 1-year TALENTTARS 2018. Students of our faculty, with particularities of the specialty MKM, took an active part and won prizes in the nominations Best Folk Dance, Best Expressive Reading, Best Performance on a Musical Instrument. And the Grand Prix was awarded for the Best Modern Dance. A great contribution to the preparation of students for the competition was made by the students of MKM 4th year Shopan Anara, Musina Kamila, as well as the student dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, 3th year student of the MKM Kylyshbay Alua.

Implementing the process of developing the educational program “Transport. Transport equipment and technology "in South Korea

Assistant professors of the department MKM Zhakebaev D. B. and Karuna O.L. from October 22 to October 27, 2018 as part of the development process of the educational program “Transport. Transport equipment and technology ”in English, a business trip to South Korea took place, on which visits to two universities that are recognized leaders in the field of engineering education were organized:
1. Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST, Daejeon) - 16th position according to the QS Subject Ranking 2018 in Engineering - Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing; 40 position according to the QS World University Ranking 2019;2. Nargozy Danayev» devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Laureate of the State Prize RK in the field of science, technology and education, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, academician NIA RK and IIA, professor, Dr. of Science T.D.Nargozy.

Closing Ceremony of Total Energy Summer School

On June 14, the closing ceremony of Total Energy Summer School was held with the participation of the rector of KazNU Mutanov G.M., first pro-rector Burkitbaev M.M.  as well as the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the General Consulate in Almaty, the General Director of TOTAL, a group of French deputies.

Total is the French oil and gas company, the fourth largest in terms of production in the world after Royal Dutch Shell, British Petroleum and ExxonMobil. In the RK - the Kashagan field (18.6% share).

June 11-15, 2018 - Summer School Total Energy for modules:

• Exploration and production of fields ("Drilling Activities and Drilling Techniques", "Oil and Gas: Project Management");

International cooperation with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

On May 23, within the framework of international cooperation, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling were visited by guests in the person of Professor Lin Yangping, Professor of Applied Mathematics and 3-4 year students from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. During the meeting, information was presented on the training in our universities, as well as memorable gifts. Then the students of the chair of MCM conducted a tour of the campus of KazNU.

MСM students took pride of place in the subject Olympiad in Nazarbayev University

At the Nazarbayev University, from April 20-21, 2018, the Republican Student Olympiad took place in the specialty of Mathematical and Computer Modeling. The Olympiad was attended by students from leading universities of the country, such as al-Farabi KazNU , Eurasian National University, a branch of Moscow State University. The Olympiad is held annually and involves team and personal competitions. In the personal championship the third place was taken by the students of the 3rd, 4th year of specialty MCM Abai Azat, Nogayeva Aida and Sabirova Rosa. In the team championship, our team members Abai Azat, Nogayeva Aida, Sabirova Rosa took the 2nd place of honor.

The сoncert in the Nursing Home was held in the framework of the project "Ainalandy nyrlandyr"

February 14, 2017 there was held a concert on the project "Ainalandy nyrlandyr" by the advisers Abdrakhmanova N.T. and students of the MKM chair in a nursing home located at the intersection of Abai and Bauyrzhan Momyshuly streets. Performances at the concert were shown not only by our students, but also by elders. One of the main goals of the event is to encourage students to be tactful, to justify their parents' obligations, to be honest, to respect the elderly, humanity and morality.
