On October 10, 2014 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies in the framework of innovation and social plan "100 books needed to be read by students of KazNU" the Department of Arabic and Iranian Studies organized a meeting with Makpal Zhumabai, the chief editor of the website www.kitap.kz. The recent opening of the site for the students with the direct participation of the main editor aroused great interest among the faculty of the University. During the meeting, the chief editor shared interesting and important information about the availability of books for readers of the site. According to the editor for books, there are more than 700 foreign and domestic authors, about 4,000 books, more than 100 fairy tales for children, cartoons, the works of our poets and writers, traditional and modern songs and even movies of old years in the library collection site. Following the meeting the students and teachers of the department have discovered new and interesting information. Now, any reader is aware of the site's activity can get there spiritual food.
