TURKSOY Department of Oriental Studies al-Farabi Kazakh National University from 14^th June to 3^rd July 2021 organized in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students studying at the department of modern Turkic languages ​​of universities in Turkey (Hacettepe University, Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Mugla Sytki Kochman University etc.) an online summer school on the topic "Kazakh Philology and Ethnography".

The purpose of the summer school is to acquaint foreign students with the worldview, beliefs of the Kazakh people, the national paremiological foundation, the linguistic image of the universe in medieval written monuments and its continuity with modern Kazakh knowledge, semantic and structural features of the Kazakh language. This event is a continuation of joint research work in the educational and scientific space between Kazakhstan and Turkey. About 35 foreign students, undergraduates and doctoral students is educated at the Summer School. In the Kazakh and Turkish languages, the lectors of the TURKSOY department conduct lectures on actual topics: "Beliefs of Kazakhs with some superstitions", "Kazakh worldview and Sufi knowledge", "Elements of the ancient Persian language in the Kazakh language", "Genesis of personifications in Kazakh stories", "Use of stable expressions in the Kazakh language and linguocultural peculiarities","Poetics of Narrators (Zhyrau)","Regional location of Kazakh clans and the etymological meanings of their names","Methods of researching the semantics of the word", etc. At the end of the course, students and lecturers are issued a certificate.
