March 28-29, the Republican Olympiad in the specialty 5B020900-Oriental Studies in Arabic was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
       Students of 2,3 courses of specialty 5В020900-Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov and KazUIRWL named after Abylay Khan.
      The competition commission for the Arabic language was attended by:

      The Olympiad was sponsored by the Center for Cultural and Educational Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The center was represented by PhD, Senior Lecturer Abulfutuh Sabri Abulfutouh Yunus (Cairo University, Egypt).

     The Olympiad was held in 2 stages: a test and presentation of the topic in Arabic in various areas of the social, cultural and political life of Arab society. 10 people participated in the Olympiad, 5 from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2 from Abylai Khan KazUHMN and 3 from L.N. Gumilyev.

     The purpose of the Olympiad is to promote the popularization of the Arabic language and culture in Kazakhstan and to identify the best in the knowledge of the Arabic language and culture.
      The 1st place at the Olympiad was taken by the 3rd year student of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov Shadi Arsen.

     2nd place was distributed between the 2nd year student of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Tolegenova Ayala and the 3rd year student of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov Sagyndyk Ayzere.

       3rd place was received by 2nd year student at Al-Farabi Izbassarov Sayat, 3rd year student at KazUMOMY named after Abylay Khan Mamutov Markhab, and a 3rd year student at AlNabah Al-Farabi Baymakhan Asem.
