Professor Al-Farabi KazNU gave a lecture “The present and the future of relations between Kazakhstan and China” for young people of Zhetysu. The event, organized by the Department of Internal Policy of the Almaty region, was attended by about 100 students of the Taldykorgan Polytechnic College. According to KazNU professor Aldabek Nurzhamal, who worked for 15 years in the direction of Chinese studies, the relations between Kazakhstan and China caused a great resonance in society. As a result, the process of breaking ties between the two countries is gaining momentum. And representatives of the regional department of internal policy have already decided that this problem should be explained first of all to students.

- Our goal is to clarify this topic to the public. We must also take into account the presence of external forces that are interested in breaking relations between the two countries and are seeking to undermine Kazakhstan-China relations. And China is also not profitable such an outcome. It remains only to change the situation. Thus, we must analyze the good and the bad. In fact, states have no friends, they have only interests. Each state acts in its own way and protects it. And the tension between the two countries contradicts our interests. There are some factors that can prevent it - there are unclear things in the relations between the two countries. This is just a trap (xenophobia). There are no problems between the two nations, ”says ALDABEK Nurzhamal, a Chinese expert.The lecture for students said that China is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan, and trade, economic and political relations between the two countries continued for centuries. “Therefore, maintaining friendly relations with China is a priority of the state,” the lecture says. We asked students who listened to a half hour hour lecture about Kazakh-Chinese, which they understood.

RASHIDOV Rakhat, student of Taldykorgan Polytechnic College:

- I realized that relations between the two countries are stable, and the Chinese have invested heavily in the economy of Kazakhstan. I also realized that the trade turnover between the two countries is great and that China is not our enemy.

At the end of the meeting, ALPISBAYEV Rustam, the head of the Almaty Regional Department of Domestic Policy, thanked the professors of the KazNU for the lecture and presented them natural honey from the village of Lepsy.
