On October 22, 2022, a special lesson and lecture for Korean youth were held at the Korean Education Center in Almaty under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

On October 17-18, 2022, the “Ist International Academic Olympiad in Korean Studies for Students of Central Eurasia” was held at the Istanbul University of Turkey.

On October 21, 2022, a meeting of the Council of Employers was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies.  The meeting took place online.  The meeting was attended by the leadership of the faculty, heads of departments, coordinators of educational programs and representatives of employers' organizations.  

October 20, 2022 advisors and teachers Zhumazhanova F.T., Kaliyeva Sh.S., Zhiekbayeva A.B., Khavan A., Zhumadilova A.Ye., Mukashev A.Ye. and undergraduate students of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies held a meeting with the director of the Research Center “Abu Hanifa” at the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture “Nur-Mubarak”, Professor Shamshadin Tursynuly Kerim.

   Another cultural event characterized the past week. On 19th of October at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Turksoy Department hosted a round table dedicated to the art and culture of Turkey.

On October 19 there was a festive event dedicated to October 25 Day of the Republic, organized by the curators-advisers of the Far East Department Tazabekova G.B., Sailaukenova A. Y., Begalieva M. B.. 

On October 19, 2022, the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a presentation of the book "Kazakhstan-China: Three Decades of Good-Neighborliness and Mutually Beneficial Cooperation", prepared by the team of authors of Kazakh and Chinese diplomats and scientists in three languages (Kazakh, Chinese and Russian).

18.10.2022 the traditional dedication of first-year students to the students of the Department of Japanese Studies was held under the guidance of curators-advisors department of Far East, Tazabekovа G.B. Saudanbekova Sh.T., Nurelovа A.M.
