The Department " Finance and accounting "was established in April 2001 to train specialists with higher education corresponding to international standards in two specialties:" Finance and credit "and"Accounting and audit".

 The Department worked in 2 directions of training:

 

  1. The specialty "Finance and credit" provides training in the following specializations: "Banking", "Taxes and taxation", "Financial management" and prepares highly qualified specialists for banks, insurance companies and investment funds. Is preparing civil servants for the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and budget planning, Tax Committee, Customs Committee, Committee for financial control and financial services in various businesses.
  2. In the specialty "Accounting and audit" prepares economists-accountants in various forms of economic entities.

The Department in the learning process using foreign and domestic experience has contributed to the training of economists, financiers and bankers of high professional level.

Since September 1, 2004 the Department "Accounting and audit" separated from the Department and the Department "Finance" began its work independently. And on September 1, 2019, the departments re-United as the Department of Finance and accounting. From February 2019 to the present time the Department is headed by Ph. D. , PhD, associate Professor Nurmagambetova A. Z. the Department has leading professors and associate professors. International relations of the Department are reflected in the participation of employees in international programs for the exchange of teachers and scientists, joint research, internships in foreign educational and scientific centers. Among the foreign partners of the Department should be noted: Lancaster University (UK), Central University of Bohemia (Prague, Czech Republic), University of Sopron (Hungary), Nanjing Agricultural University (China), Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Altai state University (Russian Federation).The Department is a graduate Department that trains specialists with higher education to work in banking, tax systems, insurance companies, audit companies and various business entities.Thus, the Department annually prepares young professionals (undergraduates) contributes to the training of highly qualified and competitive professionals for the Department and its country. The first graduates already work in banks, firms and companies, teach in universities.The educational process of the Department is based on an organic combination of rich traditions of the national higher school and advanced foreign experience. As a result, students have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest achievements of world economic thought in the field of Finance and accounting.
