After graduation, graduates face one of the most important choices in their lives - the choice of a place to study. Everyone must consciously choose their profession and decide for themselves who they want to be in the future. I also analyzed for a long time all the universities of our country, and my choice was made at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

This higher institution is rich in many years of experience in academic and scientific work. Al-Farabi KazNU is the leader in the General ranking of universities in Kazakhstan, the first in the history of the country laureate of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For achievements in the field of quality”, a diploma winner of the Prize of the Commonwealth of Independent States for achievements in the field of quality of products and services received certificates of the largest world certification centers - International IQNET certification system.

The university has a huge educational, scientific, spiritual-educational, innovative and production potential, which is aimed at training highly qualified specialists, further integration into the global educational space, the development of fundamental and applied research, their implementation in production.

The university has 16 faculties, 32 research institutes and centers, a technology park and a military department. The university employs more than 2 thousand professors, doctors, candidates of sciences and doctors of philosophy, more than 100 academicians of the largest academies, more than 40 distinguished figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 40 laureates of the State and personal prizes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 40 laureates of prizes for young scientists. More than 25 thousand students and undergraduates study at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University on a multi-level system of higher professional education. My university collaborates with 418 major international universities in the world on implementing joint international study programs, student exchange and internships.

According to a study by an international rating agency QS World University Rankings KazNU in the academic year 2018 took 220 place among the 800 best universities in the world. In the QS University Rankings rating for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, KazNU took 11th place out of 200. In both ratings, KazNU received the highest rating among all universities in Kazakhstan.

And therefore, I did not hesitate to apply for admission to the best university in our country - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. My choice was at the Higher School of Economics and Business faculty, specializing in Accounting and Auditing. This faculty is taught by highly qualified teachers who have behind them many years of experience in the field of teaching economic sciences. I chose this specialty based on my personal preferences for the importance of this profession and the advice of my parents.

The university gave me the opportunity to study at the military department. Military training with our training platoon of girls is conducted under the supervision of the head of the military department, candidate of pedagogical sciences, reserve colonel Oleg Valim-Akhmetov Azhimov, experienced teachers, officers with great military and pedagogical experience B.M Ikhanbaev,
V. V. Voronin, and E.V. Mikheev., Who teach us military affairs with a soul and at a high methodological level.

My specialty is military journalism at the military department. The university provides a great opportunity to study two specialties at the same time, which allows you to work in the future in any of the professions.

At the military department, we are students, in addition to theoretical classes in general military disciplines, we participate in classes and various events of a patriotic orientation with students and schoolchildren of the city of Almaty.

I would like to mention such vivid and memorable events as Lessons of Courage in the National Center “Bobek”, Specialized Lyceum “Arystan”, 34 gymnasiums of the city of Almaty. As well as quizzes and debate tournaments held with students studying at our military department dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Fostering the love of the homeland among schoolchildren and our peers, talking about the exploits of our great compatriots, we strengthen Kazakhstani patriotism.

In addition to training at the military department, KazNU provides its students with the opportunity to study abroad. Today, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has more than 200 cooperation agreements with universities and organizations of the following countries: Russia, Korea, Japan, Turkey, China, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, India, Great Britain, Poland, Egypt , Malaysia, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Brazil, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Belarus.

There is also a full-blooded out-of-school life of the university. About 6 student organizations operate in KazNU, which are engaged in different thematic areas, ranging from artistic interests to the creation of scientific projects. Each organization has its own specific creative atmosphere. Entering into them, you get a lot of new acquaintances, a sea of emotions and of course new knowledge.

Summing up, it can be noted that starting from 1934, from the day the university was opened, to this day, KazNU retains its first position in many ratings of Kazakhstan. Graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hold high positions in the state apparatus, work in all areas of our state, in many well-known companies for the prosperity of our country.
