In accordance with the plan of organizational and educational measures to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, from January 20 to February 10 2020, a military-historical quiz was held at the military department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the teaching staff and with all students “Our history”.

The goal of the quiz was to promote the rich history of our country and especially the period of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Particular emphasis was placed on the contribution of Kazakhstan to the victory over fascism. The quiz program included excerpts from films and newsreels of the war years, songs about the war, poems by front-line poets, as well as interesting questions about our heroic history. The quiz participants showed good knowledge of the history of our Fatherland.

It should be noted that the quiz with the teaching staff was conducted under the leadership of the head of the military department of the Colonel of the Reserve, O.V. Azhimov, and the students were taught by students enrolled in the military specialty “Military Journalism”.
