Center al-Farabi Center al-Farabi at the Kazakh national university carries out scientific and publicistic activity of 17 years.

The decision of the President of Republic Kazakhstan from January, 9th, 1993 the university has received the status of an independent homing state higher educational institution and has been renamed into the Kazakh state national university of al-Farabi. Same year the center al-Farabi has been formed also.

Priority lines of activity of the Center at the present stage is complete research of a complex of ideas al-Farabi, directed on unity and mutual understanding of cultures and the people in the light of formation of the new integrated outlook claimed by an epoch of globalization.

Prospects of development of the Center consist in:

• Transfers of unknown persons into the post-Soviet territory of works of Al-Farabi on the Kazakh and Russian languages;

• Introduction of results of research activity in educational process;

• In disclosing of new semantic structures and objects of the analysis in researches of creativity of Al-Farabi in connection with development of comparative researches in the east and the West;

• In introduction of modern methodology in the theory and practice of scientific activity from formation of uniform world information field, in the conditions of globalization and transition to market relations.
