The literary society “Akkayin” carries out its activities at the Department of Russian and world literature since 2009.
The society provides the following activities:
- Organizing thematic recitals and festive concerts: “Autumn: the palette of senses”, “Winter tunes”, “Spring in our city” etc
- Holding monthly meetings “Poetic Friday”, where students are able to demonstrate their creative skills, read their own poems, perform musical compositions, and share their literary reader experience.
- Meeting with the leading figures in the sphere of art and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Carrying out the wall-newspaper contests devoted to the meaningful events and jubilees of the classics of Russian and world literature.
- The exhibition of drawings – illustrations to the pieces of literature.
The literary society “Akkayin” consolidates about 50 students of philological faculty – regular participants of all activities. Everyone from other faculties of KazNU named after al-Farabi or from other universities of Almaty is welcomed to participate in the meetings and recitals of the literary society “Akkayin”
